Sustainable Energy First is actively seeking an experienced Energy Analyst who will spearhead our efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of our UK business by an impressive 327,170 tonnes of CO2e by 2028, in alignment with our ambitious carbon reduction target. You will already have experience in a business development role and have the confidence and gravitas to interact with prospects on the phone and in person at events.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic commercial energy market knowledge and aspirations to be a renewable energy specialist. You will be able to make an impact by helping the SE First team transition businesses to renewable energy and full training and support will be provided. You’ll be responsible for the day to day management of renewable accounts and business development opportunities, the CPPA platform (Corporate Power Purchase Agreements) and specific customer data management plus producing tender responses and liaising with suppliers.
The role
- Booking appointments with renewable energy generators for our renewable energy specialists to discuss Power Purchase Agreements / Gas Purchase Agreements / Corporate Power Purchase Agreements
- Focus on recruiting smaller generators into the Sustainable Energy Consortium
- Lead generation – identifying and qualifying new opportunities
- Building and maintaining the lead database
- Building and maintaining rapport with prospective and existing clients
- Data administration including Sales Force
- Researching events and tracking delegate lists
- Tracking industry bodies and associations
Our ideal candidate
- Proven business development experience on the phone is a must
- Basic commercial energy market knowledge
- A team player with a thirst for knowledge and a real interest in the renewable energy sector
- Excellent communication skills
